Those are things New Media Arts does. Those are things you can support through New Media Arts.

New Media Arts

New Media Arts, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization seeking to encourage and promote the production and enjoyment of the arts that are made possible by digital production and distribution. Your donation may be tax-deductible, depending on your tax jurisdiction and circumstances.
-
Our initial goal is $24,000 for 2015, an amount that will be matched (2 to 1) by our largest individual donor this year.  That means your $1 gives $3 to NMA.

-
Technical:  The reason for this arrangement is that IRS rules require that a public not-for-profit organization must get one third of its donations from the public, meaning people who give less than 2% of the total donations.   NMA is at the limit of what major donors can contribute until we get more small donations.  For that reason, please don't donate more than $800 USD so you don't become a major donor.

The funding will be used:

   1. to support Avatar Media Production's video series, “Flying Saucers Return.” This series is a parody of the 1950’s space invader stories. The background of this project is told in the blog “Virtual Outworlding.” (See below)
   2. to speed up the library development work of Antique Pattern Library.
   3. to support the regular hour-long shows produced by Avatar Repertory Theater every other Friday in Second Life and to expand to weekly shows and other virtual grids.

How to handle a Hypergrid address

From any Hypergrid-enabled grid, paste the address into the address bar of Firestorm and press enter. Or paste it into the world map search bar of any viewer, search, and click Teleport when the destination is found. If it doesn't work, don't give up. Try again later. Some hypergrid destinations are offline part of the day.

New Media Arts AMP report, week of Oct. 5

FSR project Thursday, Oct 10
Camera Engineer Geo Meek
Director Bob Shurley (Thundergas Menges in SL)
Executive producer and Avateer Selby Evans (Thinkerer Melville in SL)
Spent Thursday evening capturing voice clips for scene 3 (Communion).  We got part of Mama's speeches done.
Mission:  Flying Saucers Return is a proof of concept project to demonstrate and document the feasibility of a plan to produce a video series in virtual worlds.  A video series requires, and the plan includes both the writing and the video production.  If the plan proves to be feasible, FSR may result in a commercial venture (thus separating from NMA, but with some of the same people.)
