  • You have  a script for a video.
  • You need to make storyboards.
  • But you are not an artist.
  • Here's an option.
  • Build a set in a virtual world
  • Then take screen-shots.
  • -
  • You don't just get storyboards.  You get:
  • a model of the set
  • sight-lines
  • blocking plans
  • plans for camera positioning
  • the look of props in the scene

This build not only shows the layout of the interior of the command compartment on the space ship, it shows the set design that will let the camera zoom directly from the aliens watching the scene in the trailer park to the ongoing scene in the trailer park.  And then to zoom back to the aliens for their comments on the scene.

These storyboards are built on a production lot in Kitely.  This is a working lot, closed to the public.  But some of the sets pictured here are also displayed on Cookie II, a world that is open to the public and free to visitors (no time charge).
