Profiles of other people
You have already figured out the next step: check the profiles of other people.  Check when
  • you meet people or
  • see people around you
  • see people at an event you like.
You right-click on the avatar and select Profile.  You can also see the profile of people in various other contexts. Hover the cursor near the avatar name.-
Or you can get it  from the list of people nearby.  To get that list, click on the people button:
-
Click on the NEARBY tab at the top.  To check a profile, hover the cursor near the name.  Look for the profile option.

For people who are not around you, you can get the profile by typing the name in search.
Search: find: friends, places, events in SL
------------------------------------
Caution: the self-descriptions you see in the profile may not be true.  But what the person writes will tell you something about the person.
-
Picks and groups
  • Picks lists your favorite destinations.  Add destinations with the Picks button on the main screen.
  • Groups shows groups are a member of.  You can hide specific groups that you are in.  Go to to the group profile to do that.
