Before you get a house and land, there are some things you need to know.   I got that idea from seeing various questions in the Forums (a good place to post questions).  So I have gathered some of the common questions and provided some answers at a level that should fit beginners.

Full disclosure: Although I own land in Second Life, I have never felt inclined to have or furnish a house.  The information here comes from answering newcomer questions.

Prim limits
People entering Second Life for the first time usually start with a plot of 512 square meters. That comes along with a premium membership.  That land will allow 117 prims.  So some of the common questions come from exceeding the prim limit, "Why can't I rez the bed I bought."
